CITES CoP18 IN GENEVA

A highly political and influential SEA OF SHADOWS screening has taken place at the CITES Conference of the Parties in Geneva:

Influencers and government delegates from around the world attended the SEA OF SHADOWS screening hosted by Secretary-General Ivonne Higuero, followed by a lively discussion and Q&A that may finally turn the tide on the frontlines. The Mexican delegation was present in full numbers, and heavily engaged with director Richard Ladkani and producer Walter Köhler.

The reactions were overwhelmingly positive and we hope to have laid the seed for change. Immediate actions could not only save the vaquita but provide a future for the fishermen and help save the entire Sea of Cortez, the aquarium of the world.

Humanity needs to respond to the growing extinction crisis by transforming the way we manage the world’s wild animals and plants. Business as usual is no longer an option.
