SOCIAL GOOD SUMMIT 2019

Director Richard Ladkani gave a TED style talk on how to save our endangered world through the power of film at this year’s Social Good Summit 2019. This Summit brings together global citizens from every walk of life to share their ideas and energy to create the world we all deserve. Every year, Mashable, the United Nations Foundation, the United Nations Development Programme, and the 92nd Street Y host the Summit as a space for this crucial conversation, connecting today’s global leaders with tomorrow’s innovators and activists.

This year’s speakers included author Jonathan Safran Foer (Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close) and Nelson Mandela’s daughter Zoleka Mandela. 16-year old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg cancelled her talk at the last minute in order to prepare for her next day’s speech at the UN Climate Summit, which has come to be known under the hashtag #HowDareYou.

All of us can make a difference. Especially for our children and the next generations. I chose the power of filmmaking.

Now I want to know: what are you going to do?
