THE IVORY GAME, a feature-length documentary on the illegal ivory trade and the fight against elephant poaching and wildlife trafficking syndicates from Africa to China, is scheduled for cinema release in late 2016. The filmmakers spent more then 150 days in the field, deeply embedded with intelligence officers from Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia and Uganda. But hunting poachers and traffickers on the frontlines is not enough to save the elephants. This war has to be fought in the ivory hubs such as Dar Es Salaam and Mombasa, in the transit countries such as Hong Kong and Vietnam, as well as in the most important demand country, namely China. Being fully immersed with intelligence teams, raiding villages and infiltrating criminal gangs reveal the dangers, hardships and struggles in this critical fight. THE IVORY GAME will give a voice to the many unsung heroes who are risking their lives every day in the field and who will inspire us as they give us for hope in this ultimate battle to save the African elephant.
